As a Senior Group Leader CAM, you play a key role in leading a team of CAM engineers and driving improvements in machining processes, standardization, and production efficiency within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

What will you do as a Senior Group Leader CAM?
As a Senior Group Leader CAM, you are responsible for leading a team of 12 CAM engineers and 1 tool data administrator. You ensure planning, quality execution, and continuous development of your team’s competencies to meet current and future customer requirements.

You will also:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of CAM engineers and specialists.
  • Ensure proper planning and execution of CAM activities.
  • Safeguard and improve team capabilities and knowledge.
  • Drive standardization and automation of CAM programming processes.
  • Collaborate with key users and specialists on introducing new working methods.
  • Reduce time-to-market by improving the end-to-end process from drawing to CNC program execution.
  • Lead machining roadmap initiatives focused on faster and more efficient machining with fewer manual operations.
  • Coordinate and prioritize operational issues from production, factory engineering, and quality departments.
  • Oversee CAM program realization for new product introductions.
  • Contribute to the development of unmanned manufacturing processes.
  • Initiate and lead improvement projects in machining methods and standardization.

The CAM & Process Engineering department is responsible for CNC programming, tooling standardization (TDM), process optimization, and manufacturing roadmap development for machining operations.

Do you recognize yourself in

  • A completed HBO degree in a technical field (preferably Mechanical Engineering or similar).
  • More than 5 years of experience in a technically complex environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in a production or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CAM systems and machining processes.
  • Affinity with machining technology and industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with Siemens NX and PLM systems is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to structure, prioritize, and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on improvement, standardization, and innovation.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to drive change in a dynamic environment.
